Josiah Leming – the kid who lived in his car and became an American Idol audience favorite. He was unceremoniously dropped from AI after one shaky acapella performance. After he was cut from the roster on Feb. 12th – the kid’s audition videos went viral. I checked out his MySpace page – the first day had over 2,000 friends, when I checked today he’s at 18,409 friends.
This was the audition that really caught my attention. His rendition of Grace Kelly was such a great take, I didn’t really like that song before… Look at Paula, she can barely contain herself and Simon is actually smiling. What did Simon say at the end? “This is the audition I’ll remember…” I myself have already forgotten the top 24 that are going to the vote. I don’t think it’s the judges fault – probably some soul-devoid suit made the final decision.
Sorry Fox, you lost a viewer once again this season. This kid has real raw talent – guess there’s no room for that in the Love Boat lounge singer crew.
